Evangelical Blindness on Lebanon

I am sure that millions of Christians in the U.S. and around the world share my anguish over the significant evangelical Christian endorsement of Israel’s horrific response to Hezbollah’s wreckless negotiating ploy in recent weeks. Just as I was gathering some scattered thoughts — how does one give voice to a visceral response to CNN’s video of death and destruction on both sides of the border? (and I am not even in the middle of this caldron), the following arrived on my desktop.

“Evangelical Blindness on Lebanon” CT is to be congratulated for running it, in spite of its own editorial stance, re. David Gushee’s recent article.

Martin Accad is the academic dean of the Arab Baptist Theological Seminary in Beirut. He is currently stranded at Fuller Seminary where he is teaching a summer school course.
