Applause for Stephen Talbott’s NetFuture

One of the very best sources for thoughtful reflection on our technological society is Stephen Talbott’s online newsletter, NetFuture: Technology and Human Responsibility. Christians, especially those in the reformational tradition, will find each newsletter chocked full of penetrating analyses of technological issues. Over the years I have found Talbott to be a stimulating conversation partner whose insights often confirm and open up lines of inquiry marked out by the WdW. I do not know anything about Talbott’s own faith commitments; I only know that he repeatedly encourages and challenges my own understanding. It is gratifying to find this consilience of critiques. I will not take the time to summarize his insights here; read him for yourself.
